AI Data Center Power Tracker
Where the largest AI data centers are being built, how much power they need, and where that power comes from. Every number links to its source.
Map
Circle area shows planned power. A hollow circle means no figure has been published. Click a circle for details and sources.
Planned power by source
Gigawatts (GW) across projects that use each source. A project that uses several sources counts in each, so the bars add up to more than the total.
Planned power by country
Gigawatts (GW) of planned power, by status.

About the data
This tracker lists publicly announced data center campuses built for AI or hyperscale computing, with at least 100 MW of planned power and a known location.
How it is collected
The data is updated every week with Claude Code, an AI coding assistant. It searches recent news, company announcements and utility filings, and records only facts it can confirm in a source it opened. Every project lists its sources. A validation script checks every record before it is published, and every change is logged above.
How to read the numbers
- Planned power is the full-build figure the developer announced. Some report total facility power, others IT load, and the record says which. Totals mix both, so treat them as an order of magnitude.
- Announced is not built. Large projects are often delayed, downsized or cancelled. Check the status.
- Locations are approximate (city or county) unless the exact site is public.
